Stars & Stripes

Sunglasses, Asos
Dress, Made by Me
Belt, Thrifted
Flats, Aldo

This past week, I made this here dress ;) It's become the nautical dress I've always wanted! I didn't set out to make the nautical dress of always wanted, but I'm glad it turned out that way. The buttons are some from the 1940's that I've been saving for quite awhile. I think their perfect for this dress!

Oh another note.. for the past couple of months I've been attempting to grow my pixie into a short bob. Though, right now it's driving me a bit crazy! I have a hair appointment for Tuesday. Do you think I should just get a trim, and keep growing my pixie into a bob.. or should I chop it all off?
Have a lovely weekend! xo

Loving Dianna Agron's Prada Dress

Pic found here

Hello! The past days I've been completely obsessed with this Prada dress worn by Dianna Agron. Actually, I'm loving the whole look! Now, I've never watched Glee, so I hardly even know who Dianna Agron is... but after seeing this look and more worn by Dianna I'm really adoring her style. Super chic!
I hope y'all are having a lovely week so far! I've been working on the beginning stages of
Q's Daydream Handmade's F/W collection. Exciting! Well, that's all for now. xo

The Red Zebras

1950's Novelty Print Dress, Ebay a few years ago
Belt, Thrifted
Shoes, Mia

Hello! Did everyone have a nice weekend? I certainly did! I just happened to wear this dress through the entire weekend too. I couldn't help myself! You know when you have tons of dresses and that one feels just right, so you keep wearing it? I promise I'm not wearing it today though. It's soaking in the sink, so maybe I can wear it again tomorrow, hehe. Talk to you soon!

Inspiration Friday, Happy Birthday Natalie Wood!

Pic from here and here

I'm quite sure you've heard me say this before, but Natalie Wood has always been one of my favorite actresses. It started years and years ago when my Mom and I watched Splendor In the Grass. Now, one of my all time favorite movies. I most definitely have posted some of these pictures of Natalie before, but since it's her birthday it's a great reason to post them again! I stuck with Natalie in the 1950's for this post. Though, Natalie was aways fabulous!
Happy Birthday Natalie!!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Welcome To My World

I thought I'd share with you some snapshots of our new home, since it's almost completely set up!

I took these pictures at my favorite time of day, in the evening as the sun is setting. I couldn't quite capture the pretty light, but these pictures will have to do..
Oh, and we can't forget Loretta's favorite part of this place, the glorious backyard! ;)
We all just adore it here!
Talk to you soon! xo

1970's Dress, from the lovely Karyn! Visit her shop here

Loretta decided to join me while I was taking blog pictures today, hehe. She's way cuter than I am so I was happy she decided to partake! She likes having her picture taken. ;)

Inspiration Friday, The Million Dollar Mermaid

I've always had a soft spot for Esther Williams. Being a swimmer myself and often being called a mermaid when people see me in the water I feel as if we have a tiny bit in common. Watching her swim makes me almost as happy as I am when I'm in the water. And I LOVE being in the water! ;)
I hope you all have a glorious weekend! xo

Q's Daydream Handmade Lookbook Video!

Back in March when we shot the lookbook for Q's Daydream Handmade's S/S Collection, we also shot some video. Now we finally got it put together and now it's time to share it with you! I hope you like it! xo

Inspiration Friday, Lena Hoschek S/S 2013

This past Wednesday July 4th Lena Hoschek debuted her S/S 2013 Collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. The theme was Mexico. I think the colors and prints are just perfectly Mexico! Not to mention the flower crowns. At first the painted faces threw me off, but then I realized how pretty they are and how perfect they were for Lena's theme. What do y'all think?
Lena will always be my modern day fashion hero. Love!

Have a glorious weekend! :)

Southern Summer

Top, Made by me (maybe a future Q's Daydream Handmade piece?)
1950's Skirt, Wildfell Hall Vintage
Flats, Aldo, many years ago!

The other Jonny snapped these pictures with his cellphone while we were out and about. It was a super hot day, so light clothing was a must. Maybe I'm crazy but dressing for hot weather is my favorite :)
I hope you all are well! Happy 4th to those of you in the USA! xo
