A Ride Through the Country

After work today Jonny and I took a little ride through the country and found yet another great old house. This one actually had a For Sale sign in front of it! There were still curtains in the widows and chairs on the porch. There's so much to see at this old house that I'll definitely have to do more posts here. I don't have too much interested to talk about, so I'll say goodbye for now. Talk soon! :o)

  1. Oh this is wonderful! I seriously need to purchase some knee socks for fall. Do you know where I could find a good pair (or two:)?

Do you mind if I also ask how you get your wonderful pictures to appear so big on blogger? I've tried various formats, but can't figure it out. Thanks!

  2. I've always dreamt of buying a ramshackle old house like this in the country for super duper dirt cheap and making it a project. Unfortunately Mike and I are far from handy folk and I'm scared of spiders. so i feel like the whole thing would end up being a fail of a project! :P

now YOU on the other hand, look stunning!

  12. Gorgeous. I love old run down places. That cropped cardigan is so perfect with your dress and I adore your knee socks (I wore them for twelve years of my life).

  13. Oooh, if there's still furniture on the porch and curtains in the windows I wonder what's inside the house! I have daydreams about finding old abandoned country homes full of clothing from the 40's. Do fill us in next time you check the place out!

  15. Oh I hope someone doesn't buy it and just demolish it or totally modernise it in a garish way :( that happened to a sweet little bungalow with lots of original features here. Your dress is so cute too.

  16. that second photo is really really lovely. it looks like something out of an editorial.

I love knee socks when they don't look too school girl-y and you've really pulled that off here. It's a super cute outfit.
