The Green Velvet Shoes

I've wanted a pair of green velvet flats for a very long time. Who knew they would be so hard to find?! Well, I finally found my dream pair! These shoes paired with the 1950s dress I'm wearing make me feel a bit like a ballerina. Why I'm not quite sure. Maybe it's the beautiful neckline on this dress or the fact that one of my favorite dancers is Leslie Caron. She always seemed to be dancing around in beautiful full dresses! I guess the reason doesn't really matter. All that matters is that in these shoes and a full 1950s dress I can't help but dance around on my tippy toes! ;o)

Oh, I've added the most lovely 1940s dress to my shop today!

Dress: My secret spot

  15. I love the colours & cut of this dress. Back in undergrad I used to buy shoes similar to this in Chinatown... they were black brocade rather than velvet (though the store also sold velvet ones!).
