I just recently discover Italian-born actress Anna Maria Pierangeli, or Pier Angeli. I was drawn to her timeless style and magical photos. I don't know much about Pier yet, I plan on ordering this book soon! I do know that we share the same birthday and James Dean was the love of her life. So in the meantime I'll share the gorgeous pictures with you and hope you find them as inspiring as I do.

beautiful! that one photo of her holding the camera looks like YOU!
oh, i adore Pier Angeli! if her parents had let her marry James Dean, perhaps she would not have met with such an untimely end. she had a twin sister too: Marisa Pavan. the two of them were absolutely stunning. great post!

This is the first time I'm commenting on your blog, but I've been reading it a while... love it! I'd love if you wanted to see mine- it's not vintage, but I post about some old movies from time to time!

Awesome photos! I was browsing the name Pierangeli, because my father would want that for my birth name, but his father wouldnt let him... I dont know, I just tried to search for that name, & thus brought me to your blog. I love your theme! So in love with vintage era too! Thanks!
