Tie and suspenders, Jonny's
Blouse, Thrifted
1950's Skirt
Seychelles Shoes
Purse from my Mom
I was so inspired by the pictures in my menswear post that I had to come up with an outfit of my own! This is the first of many menswear inspired outfits I'll be wearing this fall. Hugs!
PS: Please forgive the badly tied tie! I'm a lot shorter than jonny so it was hard to tie without it being too long, hehe!
I always want to dress "in drag", too, but I have never found a good way to wear suspenders.... pairing them with the pencil skirt is clearly the way to go! You look SO CUTE in this outfit!!!!!! (-: Sasha
ReplyDeleteDon't you look darling! This looks suits you so well, too. Literally suits you! I just made a pun and didn't even mean to. Ha!
ReplyDeleteThe purse is amazing! The suspenders are adorable and so are you! Just wonderful! Ok, seriously, Dress swap soon!
ReplyDeleteI love the suspenders, they look really great on you! And that purse is gorgeous! <3 I wish my mom had old vintage bags like that!
ReplyDeleteLove the suspenders. I've been thinking of trying to sew a pinafore/suspenders skirt lately...Also, that purse is rad!
ReplyDeleteLooks really cute! And I love your shoes as well!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this outfit! I've been flirting with braces (suspenders) and shirts but haven't managed to find any ties I liked ... or skirts for that matter!
ReplyDeleteYour shoes are perfect for that outfit, you look fab!
I clicked on your post because in the UK 'suspenders' means your garters and I thought perhaps this was some kind of Cabaret homage!
ReplyDeleteIt looks really cute though - I had a skirt with some suspenders ('braces'), will have to dig it out!
Love this outfit!!! There is something rather snazzy (as my grandfather would have said ;) about a tie and suspenders--it's quite dashing in a way! ;) I have been off and on checking the thrift shops for pieces like this, but really must redouble my efforts now!

You pull off the menswear look so well! I feel like you need to go be studious somewhere in this outfit. For some reasons it's really making me think of strolling around on a college campus, or hiding away in the library doing research.
