Bettie as a little girl and in high school, first row third from left
I recently read the book Bettie Page: The Life of a Pin-Up Legend. The book is filled with tons of pictures of Bettie, mostly from her pinup days. The pictures I loved most were the ones of Bettie before she became the legend she is. Bettie was born in Nashville, Tennessee and that's where most of these pictures were taken. I of course think that's pretty cool! ;o) Another fact about Bettie that I didn't know is that she made almost all of her clothing/costumes!
I enjoyed looking these pictures, her sister was her twin?
ReplyDeleteI know her bangs are her staple look but I love her either way!

Thanks for sharing these! I'd seen many before but not the ones with her sister, they look like twins! Imagine if they had both gone into pinup modeling.
ReplyDeleteWow, Bettie and her sister really did look so alike. I found her high school photo amusing -- ask anyone which gal would end up a successful pin-up model, and she's the first one to pick out of that lineup! That attitude! Love it!
ReplyDeleteCannot believe how similar her and her sister look. Thanks for sharing. x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures! I love the one in the off-the-shoulder top. And her high school picture is great - standing with her classmates, she's just got this style and sass which really draws your eye, even though she's not overtly posing.
ReplyDeleteoh man, best inspiration post ever! I love love love Bettie and she's been the biggest fashion inspiration on me since I was 13. I love the photos of her with her sister, esp where they are showing off their legs in those long dresses
ReplyDeleteWow, these are amazing!
