Ever since I saw Shirley Temple in Captain January when I was little my favorite kind of trousers have been high-waisted, wide-legged and sailor style! As far I'm concerned trousers from the 1930's are as good as it gets. So, when I discovered the tumblr blog Giant Pants of the 30's I was in love! Here are some crazy fabulous ladies rocking their trousers in the 1930's...
Last week I just happened to order my dream pair of vintage style sailor trousers, yay!

I feel like most everyone could look good in these, they show off the waist, make your legs look miles long, and and don't make hipy gals like me resemble pears like skinny jeans do. Ugh. So done with that.

ReplyDeleteLook at all of those babes in all of those fancy pants! I'm especially loving the first pic with the knotted tops and open back blouse with suspenders. Modern girls think they have fun with fashion, but something tells me we're missing out on a lot!

Oh yes, these are my favorite types of pants as well!! I actually hate wearing pants (I'm a skirts/dresses kinda gal) but I make an exception for glamorous slacks like these :)

Some of the pictures reminds more of 1970s era but the pants on the pictures are much more elegant than 1970s (or 1980s) pants.
