Inspiration Friday, Mademoiselle Magazine 1960

Original Source

I fell in love with this editorial from Mademoiselle Magazine from 1960 when I saw it on the blog, When Decades Collide. 1960 is probably my favorite year in fashion. In my opinion the hemlines were just perfect and the skirts just the right fullness, among other things. The early 60's are just so me. Maybe it has something to do with watching movies like GI Blues, Blue Hawaii and Gidget a million times growing up... ;)
Happy March! Spring is near! I hope you all have a lovely weekend. xo

Inspiration Friday, Priscilla Presley

Y'all know I'm a super big Elvis fan! So, naturally I'm a fan of Priscilla Presley too. She's always been a bit of a fashion icon for me. Yes, back when I was a teen I had the super long hair and copied outfits of hers. She was after all, loved by the king.

This past Wednesday I had the pleasure of seeing Priscilla talk about Elvis and Graceland. A dream of mine forever! My little brother Flynn was along for the ride as well as being my photographer.  Sadly people bombarded the stage and ruined our chance to get closer to take a better picture. Don't you hate when that happens!? Despite that I had a wonderful time! :)

I also got to meet some more cool Elvis people. More on that later!
Oh, and Tuesday I get to see Lisa Marie Presley perform at The Ryman! Yay!!!!!
Have a great weekend! xo

Inspirations Friday, Anna Karina

All photos found here

Lately I've been completely obsessed with Anna Karina's style. I know she's been a fashion icon for ages, but for some reason I've just recently discovered how fabulous she is. As I'm working on
Q's Daydream Handmade's fall collection I find myself going to Anna and many other
French New Wave actresses for inspiration. It seems the French always get it right :)
Have a glorious weekend! xo

Gemini Girl

Vintage Dress, late 50's early 60's Jonathan Logan
Belt, Thrifted
Shoes, F21
Vintage box bag, Enid Collins, a gift

Hello! I hope everyone has had a nice weekend!
Yesterday, Emma and I spent the afternoon cruising around. We stopped by the Porter Flea, which was fun, but crazy crowded. In the crowd I managed to spot Mike Wolfe from American Pickers standing right next to me, so that was cool! I would of said hi if he wasn't being ambushed by lots of other people, haha. Later Emma and I had lunch at the Silly Goose. My favorite restaurant in Nashville! Then we stopped at a couple of vintage shops and did some browsing. We both walked away with a new bakelite bangle to add to our collections. Today, Jonny and I have been having a good ole lazy Sunday. He's been very busy at work, so it's nice to have him home :)

The dress I'm wearing is something I found a couple weeks ago for a song.... It was stained and dirty, but I discovered it was a Jonathan Logan and I had to have it! Turns out after a good soaking it's as good as new! Now it's one of my favorite dresses.

Talk to y'all soon!
