French Feeling Sailor Girl

1940's sailor top, Wildfell Hall Vintage
Dress, Betsey Johnson (also my wedding dress!)
Shoes, Swedish Hasbeens

Hello!
This outfit is one I've had planned in my head for awhile. It wasn't until today that I actually wore it though! Don't know what took me so long. It's inspired my the lovely Anna Karina. She's been one of my biggest inspirations recently! The jacket is from Amy of Wildfell Hall Vintage. It has to be one of my favorite things ever!
Well, that's all for now. I hope you had a wonderful weekend! xoxo

Stars & Stripes

Sunglasses, Asos
Dress, Made by Me
Belt, Thrifted
Flats, Aldo

Hello!
This past week, I made this here dress ;) It's become the nautical dress I've always wanted! I didn't set out to make the nautical dress of always wanted, but I'm glad it turned out that way. The buttons are some from the 1940's that I've been saving for quite awhile. I think their perfect for this dress!

Oh another note.. for the past couple of months I've been attempting to grow my pixie into a short bob. Though, right now it's driving me a bit crazy! I have a hair appointment for Tuesday. Do you think I should just get a trim, and keep growing my pixie into a bob.. or should I chop it all off?
Have a lovely weekend! xo

Hello! Did everyone have a nice weekend? I certainly did! I just happened to wear this dress through the entire weekend too. I couldn't help myself! You know when you have tons of dresses and that one feels just right, so you keep wearing it? I promise I'm not wearing it today though. It's soaking in the sink, so maybe I can wear it again tomorrow, hehe. Talk to you soon!

Southern Summer

Top, Made by me (maybe a future Q's Daydream Handmade piece?)
1950's Skirt, Wildfell Hall Vintage
Flats, Aldo, many years ago!

The other Jonny snapped these pictures with his cellphone while we were out and about. It was a super hot day, so light clothing was a must. Maybe I'm crazy but dressing for hot weather is my favorite :)
I hope you all are well! Happy 4th to those of you in the USA! xo

Yesterday, the temperature reached 108. The a perfect day to wear my new 1940's sundress! Everything I'm wearing here is a birthday present. The dress I bought with the birthday money from my Dad, and the sunglasses and shoes are from Jonny. Can I just say how much I love Swedish Hasbeens! They're so comfy!
Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Jonny and I might go see Moonrise Kingdom!

Gemini Girl

Vintage Dress, late 50's early 60's Jonathan Logan
Belt, Thrifted
Shoes, F21
Vintage box bag, Enid Collins, a gift

Hello! I hope everyone has had a nice weekend!
Yesterday, Emma and I spent the afternoon cruising around. We stopped by the Porter Flea, which was fun, but crazy crowded. In the crowd I managed to spot Mike Wolfe from American Pickers standing right next to me, so that was cool! I would of said hi if he wasn't being ambushed by lots of other people, haha. Later Emma and I had lunch at the Silly Goose. My favorite restaurant in Nashville! Then we stopped at a couple of vintage shops and did some browsing. We both walked away with a new bakelite bangle to add to our collections. Today, Jonny and I have been having a good ole lazy Sunday. He's been very busy at work, so it's nice to have him home :)

The dress I'm wearing is something I found a couple weeks ago for a song.... It was stained and dirty, but I discovered it was a Jonathan Logan and I had to have it! Turns out after a good soaking it's as good as new! Now it's one of my favorite dresses.

Talk to y'all soon!

Hello! How's everyone? I'm doing just lovely! We're having a heat wave and I'm enjoying every second of it! I like it nice and hot. Perfect for a cotton playsuit, hehe.
I'm thinking of doing limited edition novelty prints in my shop very soon. Would y'all like that?
Anywho, I hope y'all are having a wonderful weekend!

A Swell Gift

Dress, Made by Casey, a gift
Shoes, Jeffery Campbell

Hello! Did everyone have a nice weekend? Ours was lovely.
The dress I'm wearing was a gift from one of the sweetest ladies I have yet to meet in person, Casey! She made it a couple of years ago and from the moment I saw it I was in love. The open back got me! Casey mentioned on her blog that she didn't wear it as much as she should.. I told her how much I loved it and she sent it to me! What a sweetie!! I wear it all of the time and just adore it. I'm sure y'all know Casey's blog all ready, but if not you gotta go check it out pronto ;)
Have a great week! xo

The Big Tree & Me

Vintage Jacket, A gift from my friend Sara
Dress, Made by me a bit ago
Shoes, Mia

Hello! I hope everyone had a nice weekend! Did you do anything fun?
It was raining here, so I stayed inside and put myself to work sewing and packing for the move. I'm so excited to move! Between the rain Jonny took me on a coffee date. After we stopped at the park and took these pictures. I love Tennessee and it's huge trees :)
Anywho, this jacket was a gift from my friend Sara. I've had it quite a while now and for some reason had never worn it, despite adoring it. You see it was a longer jacket... Jonny suggested I crop it short, because he knows I'm a cropped jacket kinda girl. Why hadn't I thought of that before, I have no idea I love it cropped! So, I call this my Nautical, Sara, Jonny Jacket, haha.
Talk to y'all soon! xo

Finally, My Very Own Lena Hoschek!

 Bathing Suit, Lena Hoschek

As some of you may know Lena Hoschek is my all time favorite designer. I've been drooling over her collections for years! Especially her pretty pieces that just happen to have Elvis' face on them, hehe. So, when Jonny bought me this Lena Hoschek bathing suit I was over the moon. I knew when I ordered it that I was going to have to wear it under a skirt, so I don't just get to wear it to the pool. I was thrilled to find it goes perfectly with the skirt from Q's Daydream Handmade Gamine Playsuit! I think I'll also have to make a skirt in the color of Elvis' hair. I plan on wearing this baby everywhere! In fact I might never take it off. ;o)

Also, I have some very happy news! Jonny and I have been living in a tiny apartment ever since moving to Nashville... but a few days ago we rented our very own house. We move in June 1st, yay! It's a darling little 1940's house with a huge fenced in backyard for Loretta to play in. I can't wait to move in and share with y'all some pictures. :D

I hope you all have had a glorious weekend! xo

Spring!

Dress, designed and made by me
Wedges, Mia, SO COMFY!

Well, Hello there!!
Today was the most lovely spring day! Jonny took the day off work, because this weekend is his birthday. So, to start the weekend off we went to lunch at our favorite diner. I had a blue cheese burger and sweet potato fries... yumyum! Later we went for ice cream. Quite the indulgent day, hehe.
Later we took these pictures near one of my favorite plantations. The weather was seriously perfection! and... On the way back to our car I found a four leaf clover! :D
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL weekend! Next time I talk to y'all I'll have a very exciting surprise. So until then... xoxo
