May you dress in your best and eat lots of candy!Photo found here

Thanks to Lauren of Blooming Leopold I have my very own copy of Lula! Yay, thank you so much Lauren! I know I'm not the only one totally loving this issue. I don't want to give anything away for those of you that don't have it yet, but I'm going to have to get my hair cut like that second picture. Yes, I might even go red. Have a fantastic evening!

I can't believe it's been almost a week since my last post! Things have been very busy, in a good way though. I've been doing lots of shopping for my shop and lots of sewing on my 40s sailor dress, which is almost done! Today I was inside working all day listing things on Etsy, which might explain my silly faces. Though, I'm really quite silly all the time, so that's no excuse, hehe.
On the way thrifting today Jonny and I stopped at this fantastic watermill. It was built in 1902!
Isn't he the cutest?! He didn't even move when Jonny took pictures of him. Probably because he was scared for his life, lol! Maybe next time I'll see him again.
I recently came across this magazine from April 22, 1933. I was immediately drawn to the adorable lady and her fantastic dress! Why can't dresses from magazines come to life?! Anyway, I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite pages from this fun little mag! I hope you enjoy!

Today in the mail I received my favorite new dress! I had been watching it on ebay, everyday obsessively looking to see how high the price had gone. When bidding night came I was so nervous I was shaking, haha! I put in my bid in the last 15 seconds and closed my eyes. Yes, it was mine!!! It's from the 1940s and in wonderful condition. I just love all the little details! You'll be seeing a lot of this dress!
This is what I wore today while going grocery shopping, vintage hunting and making a trip the post office, to mail some very special dresses. It's been rainy and cold here, but I don't mind. I get to wear my rain boots after all! This post is also the debut of one of my favorite pieces of furniture ever! My 1940s radio/record player that I bought for only $20! The record player doesn't work so I still use my new vintage style one. The radio still lights up though! The rest of the day I plan on taking some pictures for my shop. Then later Jonny and I are going to going to eat pizza and watch Pearl Harbor. He's never seen it! If you haven't the 40s dresses are fabulous! Have a lovely weekend!
This adorable little number is up in my shop! I love it, but just don't wear it as much as it deserves to be worn. I want it to go to a good home with a little lady that will just love it to pieces! Have a good evening ladies!

With my recent obsession with The Edge of Love, I couldn't help but dress inspired by the movie this morning! I just got this lovely 1940s dress in the mail from S. Vintage on Etsy! I was thrilled when I found it and didn't think twice before I snatched it up. It's so hard to find printed 40s dresses these days.

I know I'm not the first person to post pictures from The Edge of Love...but it's the first time I've ever posted any. I watched The Edge of Love last night for the second time and I liked it even more then the first! I'm completely obsessed with the clothes, of course! I can't wait until it's chilly enough here to wear boots with little floral dresses and comfy sweaters. Just the other night I splurged and bought myself a floral 40s dress totally inspired by the one in these pictures! I'm sure you'll be seeing that this weekend! Anyway I hope you enjoyed seeing these pictures for the hundredth time. Maybe there was one or two you haven't seen!

Do you ever have one of those days where every outfit you try on just seems so blah!? I know we all must. That was me a few days ago! I look in my closet and I know I have so many beautiful things to wear, but everything I put on just seems so wrong. What's even more annoying is when I have tons of outfits I want to wear and no car to take me anywhere! Anyway, whenever I have one of those "blah" days this is the dress I always seem to put on. Even on the worst days this dress just feels right! What's your go to outfit? Lets see it!
