Inspiration Friday, Yvette Mimieux

This week for inspiration Friday I've choosen actress Yvette Mimieux! Yvette is most well know for her role as Weena the childlike girl from the future in 1960's The Time Machine. She was also in the film Where The Boys Are, which I've seen so many times it's embarrassing, hehe. Though, I must say my favorite of her films is The Light in the Piazza, which also stars Olivia de Havilland as her mother. If you haven't seen any of Yvette's films, The Light in the Piazza is the one to see! ...and as you'll see here Yvette was quite the beauty with great style to boot.

If you'd like to learn more about Yvette, go here.

Does anyone have exciting plans for this weekend?

Hats Off To Spring

Vintage straw hat, found in Maine years ago
Blouse, Forever 21, years ago
Wedges, Target (They're SO comfy!)

Hello again!
This outfit and these pictures are greatly inspired by one of my
favorite pictures of Audrey Hepburn, the one below! Audrey has been my biggest fashion icon since I was a little girl. I remember after watching Sabrina when I was 8 or 9 my Mom and I going on an all day search for a pair or black capris and ballet flats. Nowadays that's not too tough, but back in 1993 it was nearly impossible! I eventually found the capris and flats and proceeded to wear them almost everyday. Yes, my eight year old self even had my Mom take pictures of me trying to look like Audrey! I think I'll keep those pictures to myself for now, lol. Anyway I got these red capris, by accident really, thanks to the fabulous Katy K! Then, remembering my favorite picture of Audrey, I had to create a similar outfit! Though I'm no Audrey Hepburn, it was fun to pretend for a little while.

Happy Spring!!!

Hello Lovelies! I just had to pop by and say a quick hello because, it's Spring!!! My favorite time of year for sure! Today is going to be just lovely here in Nashville and Jonny and I are planning a picnic in the park. Later today an outfit post. I picked the fabulous picture above of Audrey because it might have something in common with my post later ;o)

Inspiration Friday, Margo Beach Story

Today for inspiration Friday, Margo Beach Story, Friday. I just stumbled upon these images when I was on one of my googling sprees. I love how they tell a story of a fun day at the beach. Of course the fact that it's the 1940's and everyone looks fabulous makes it even better!
