Recently

Since the weather wouldn't cooperate the last few days I thought instead of sharing outfit pictures I'd share some recent pics from my instagram. Above is a view of my closet from my bed. The dress is my after baby Lena Hoschek dress that is waiting patiently to be worn. Also, three sailor dresses for Hazel. She now has one for the first three years of her life! All thrifted at different times for $2 each. Oh yeah!
Jonny's birthday was Sunday, so we did some yummy indulging on Saturday and Sunday. This isn't even everything naughty we ate, hehe ;)
Of course Loretta is always a huge part of my day. Looking cute as always.
And last but not least a bump shot from yesterday at 28.4 weeks. I plan on wearing this 60's lace dress a lot, so you'll see more of it soon! I hope ya'll had a fabulous weekend! If you'd like to follow me on instagram my name is qsdaydream. xo

Inspiration Friday, Clare Bowen

For this weeks inspiration Clare Bowen who plays Scarlett O'Conner on the tv show "Nashville". I must admit the reason I started watching "Nashville" was becuase of living in Nashville. I thought it'd be fun to see places I've know well on tv. Well, I'm still watching "Nashville" and a big part of that is Clare Bowen's character Scarlett. Not only does she have an amazing voice but I just love her style. Very vintage and romantic with a touch of country thrown in. What's even better is that Clare seems to dress that way in her real life too. So, if you haven't watched "Nashville" yet you should certainly give it a shot! Have a great weekend!

PS: I am on Blog Lovin' for those that would like follow. Here I am :)

It's Spring!!

Yay! It's officially Spring! My most favorite season of the year :)
I snapped this picture on my phone a few days ago when the weather was perfectly springy, in the 70s! Today, it's not so springlike. Like most of the country Tennessee seems to be going through a bit of a cold spell. Our highs are only going to reach into the 40s and 50s for the next week or so. Though, the weatherman has promised us more seasonal temps soon. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Yes, I'm slightly obsessed with the weather, lol. In the meantime I'm going to keep myself busy doing some sewing for myself and Hazel. I might even watch a movie like Blue Hawaii or Gidget and daydream about the beach ;) I'll talk to ya'll soon! xx

A Little Dress I Made For Hazel

This afternoon I finished making my first dress for Hazel. I can't get over how cute and tiny it is! Making baby clothes is soooo much fun! I can't wait to see her wearing it this summer. And don't you worry, Hazel will have her very own blog post modeling this, hehe. I hope y'all are having a good week so far! Until next time, xo.

Q's Pregnancy Style, 26 Weeks

 1940's Sailor Dress, Etsy
Belt, thrifted
Flats, I don't remember...

Hello! I'm happy to say that the last few days have felt like spring! Since the weather was warmer I decided to wear one of my favorite spring dresses. I tried on this 1940's sailor dress last week (it used to  be a little big!) and knew I was only going to be able to wear it a little bit longer. So, I knew today had to be the day. It's probably won't fit me tomorrow, lol!  It's amazing have fast my bump has been growing recently. I'm not going to lie, not fitting into my favorite spring dresses is tough, but I know the bigger I get the more Hazel's growing, and that's a wonderful thing.
I hope y'all have had a fabulous weekend! Talk to you soon. xx

Q's Pregnancy Style, 25 Weeks

Sweater, Very old F21
Belt, Thrifted
Dress, Anthro sale section
Tights, Target
Boots, Frye

Hello! How are all of you? I'm doing great! Loving the second trimester of pregnancy.
This outfit I threw on before heading to church this morning. I bought this non maternity dress back in the fall and I'm happy to say it still fits! I think I just might get away with wearing until June too. I just adore this color pink! Today was still quite chilly, even in the bright sun, which you can see I'm trying to warm up in. Next weekend is supposed to be gorgeous and in the 60's though, so yay!
Oh, and I had to share with you the mini Frye boots my sister got Hazel! Just like mine, hehe.

Inspiration Friday, Mademoiselle Magazine 1960

Original Source

I fell in love with this editorial from Mademoiselle Magazine from 1960 when I saw it on the blog, When Decades Collide. 1960 is probably my favorite year in fashion. In my opinion the hemlines were just perfect and the skirts just the right fullness, among other things. The early 60's are just so me. Maybe it has something to do with watching movies like GI Blues, Blue Hawaii and Gidget a million times growing up... ;)
Happy March! Spring is near! I hope you all have a lovely weekend. xo
