Blogger Meetup with Lexie of Little Boat & Her Sister Molly!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Lexie of Little Boat and her little sister Molly! We met for frozen yogurt at Sweet CeCe's in Nashville. I'd never been to Sweet CeCe's before and I'm so glad Lexie choose to meet there because I think I've found my new favorite snack!
It was so nice getting to chat with Lexie and get to know a little more about the girl behind the blog, she's just lovely! Lexie's little sis Molly was just a doll, and just as cute as she looks! This was my fifth blogger meetup and I must say that everyone I've met is just as awesome as the next. Us bloggers really do need to start a little city or something, lol! Thank you Lexie and Molly, I had a blast! :o)

PS: I'm really not that tall. That's what three inch wedges will do to ya, haha!
PSS: Please excuse my silly closed mouth grin in the first few shots. I was convinced I had granola in my teeth, hehe.

In A Dress Fit For Brigitte Bardot...

Isn't this dress a dream!? When I found it I squealed with delight! I'm not quite sure why but it really reminds me of Brigitte Bardot. Maybe it's the nipped in waist and super full skirt?! Sadly this beauty is a bit too big for me so it's now in my shop.
Talk to you soon darlin's!

Blogger Meetup with Amanda of The Call of the Jitterbug Doll!

Sunday Jonny and I had the pleasure of meeting Amanda of The Call of the Jitterbug Doll and her sweetie Pat! They were here visiting Nashville for the weekend from Arizona.

First we enjoyed some chit chat and iced mochas at The Frothy Monkey Cafe. Then we headed to Katy K's and did some shopping. The boys found lots of country and rockabilly clothes that they'd love to splurge on! Amanda and I both bought some vintage from Carmen at Closet Case Vintage. Amanda found an adorable gingham blouse and I couldn't resist a sweet 1950's circle skirt!

I love this picture because you can see our guys in the background!

Acting glamorous! Though Amanda does it much better than I do!

It was so much fun meeting Amanda and Pat! I only wished they lived closer so we could all hang out more. Though they plan on visiting Nashville again soon and I know we'll see them again!

Under The Old Magnolia Tree

Vintage 1970's Dress: Found back in DE
1960's Clutch: I've had it since I was 12, lol!
Heels: Thrifted

On Thursday Jonny and I took a afternoon drive. First we got lost in East Nashville, which was kinda fun because I got to show Jonny all the great old houses! Then we drove through the heart of the city and discovered fun new places we'd like to visit. Driving home we took all of the back roads and daydreamed about buying one of the many gorgeous homes here in Nashville someday. Then we found ourselves at this beautiful park and decided to take some pictures... Oh, and lets not forget stopping by Anthropologie and trying on some beautiful dresses! Quite the adventurous afternoon! Today who knows were we'll find ourselves!

PS: Today I'll be adding two adorable gingham 1950's dresses to my shop that I'm particularly fond of! Check my tweets if you'd like to know when they're listed.

Etsy Update & Anthropologie Sailor Shorts!

Here are some of the things I've been adding to my shop the last couple of days! As you can see my pictures are a little bit different here in Nashville. I'm trying out the simple look and trying to get used to using natural light. Do you like the simplicity or do you miss my little pictures hanging on the wall? Be honest! Anyway, I'm every excited about the things I've been finding for my shop recently! Lots more vintage to come!

I'm also selling a pair of shorts I bought from Anthropologie last spring. I only was able to wear them once because sadly they're too big. So if you're interested in them click here! They're a size small, medium.

*SOLD*

Today is quite the exciting day! Jonny is at a job interview right now and later I'll be going thrifting with Lauren! A good Wednesday indeed :o)

A Walk Around The Block, In Nashville!

Well ya'll, we arrived in Nashville safe and sound! The past few days have been filled with setting up house and learning our way about town. Our place is just about all set up and feels nice and cozy. Today I explored Nashville a bit by myself. I stopped by Closet Case Vintage and visited with Lauren for a little bit. It was great seeing Laurens little setup and browsing through all the wonderful vintage! Later there was iced mocha's and sushi to add to the pleasant afternoon.
Jonny and I just got back from a little walk and now we're going to go for an evening swim. Nashville is my little piece of heaven! :o)

Lena Hoschek S/S 2011 & See You Soon!

As some of you may know Lena Hoschek is my favorite current designer. So, when I came across her s/s 2011 collection I knew I had to share. I'm completely in love with everything as usual! Oh my goodness, and the Elvis bikini! Yes that will be mine next spring, hehe! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
The time has come my dears, I'm off to Nashville! We'll be leaving super early in the morning Friday and arriving in Nashville Friday afternoon. I simply can't wait! When we picked up our moving truck this afternoon it really hit me that this is all really happening! I'm just so overwhelmed with happiness and excitement! So, the next time I talk to you I'll be in Tennessee. Here I come Nashville! ;o)

Saying Goodbye To The East Coast

1930s Bathing Suit: Antique Mall

Here is one of my favorite vintage pieces that I've been meaning to show you forever! It's a 1930's suit that I found at an antique mall at the end of last summer. I couldn't believe it when I saw it and was even more surprise when it fit me perfectly! Sadly it's not in the best condition. It's made of wool and has some small holes here and there, so it's really not the bathing suit to wear swimming. I love it so much anyway! It reminds me of the suits in this picture.
Anyway, it was fun to take these pictures at the beach. Moving to Nashville we won't have the ocean anymore, so it was kind of a goodbye to the sea. Though I have family that live here so I can come visit the ocean anytime I want! Funny back story...while taking these pics there were three men fishing. They were making funny, but nice comments while I was frolicking in the sand, lol!

I'm off to do more packing. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
