1960's Eyelet Dress: In my shop!

The last few days have been very exciting for me! Jonny and I are leaving for Nashville this Friday! We'll be staying for the weekend and looking for places to live for our move in August. While we're there we'll be celebrating my 25th birthday. My actual birthday isn't until the 19th but I have no problem with celebrating early, hehe! On the drive home we're going to visit my Grandpa in North Carolina, yay! Also, yesterday Jonny and I bought a new car, so our drive down south will be extra fun!

About the dress I'm wearing. I found it just the other day and I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw it! I wish I could keep it but it'll be going in my shop this week. So one of you lucky gals could be wearing this dress before you know it!

1940's Playsuit and matching skirt: Metro Retro Vintage

I can't tell you how long I've dreamed about having a vintage playsuit with a matching skirt! I've always looked hoping someday one would pop up. I've maybe seen one other for sale ever! Well, when I was home sick the other week I was casually browsing Etsy with no intent on buying anything...then this little number appeared and just happened to be just my size. How could I pass it up knowing I might never see another again! Lets just say it arrived in the mail yesterday and I have only taken it off to sleep. I'll probably wear it again tomorrow and the day after that and well I'll try not to wear it for the next month, lol!

Although seeing all those wonderful vintage cars was fabulous, the highlight of my day is when I got to meet Henry Winkler! Yup, that's right the Fonz! The first thing he said to me was, "You look fabulous in blue!" What a greeting from the Fonz! He was as sweet as can be. A very happy day indeed! ;o)

Put A Smile On My Face

The last few days I've been a bit under the weather. My days have been spent half asleep on the living room sofa watching lots of movies. I guess that doesn't sound all that bad, but I'd much rather be feeling good spending my days lounging on the beach or strolling through town sipping iced coffee. These pictures from Lena Hoschek's S/S 2010 collection fit my daydreams perfectly! So while I can't venture outside just yet, I can think of what I'd like to do once I'm feeling myself again! Don't feel too bad for me though! It's a lovely day and I have all the windows open so I can feel the warm breeze. I also think I'm going to have an Elizabeth Taylor movie marathon. I'll stick to the films she made in the 1950's...that take place in warm pretty places! Have a great weekend darlings!

On Saturday Jonny and I spent a day at the fair that was right on the ocean!

Here we are sitting under the pier watching the surfers and people watching. We had such a perfect day! The weather was hot, the music was great and the food was so tasty. Even the random thunderstorm before Jesse's show was kinda fun! Hmmm, today I'm tempted to go back just to get another pina colada! How was your weekend?
