Walk the Line

One of my favorite movies of all time is Walk the Line. Not only does it take place in my two favorite decades, the 50's and 60's, but it's a wonderful love story and I love Johnny Cash. I remember before it came out in the theater I was so excited I could hardly stand it. I, of course, went on opening night & Jonny took me. It was our first real date and God bless him he dressed all in black just for me...lol! I was not disappointed at all by the film, in fact I saw it 10 times! A couple times with Jonny then I dragged my Mom and then my little brother (he went 3 times)...lol! Not since Titanic had I been so obsessed with a movie. The reason I wanted to do this post is because the way Reese Witherspoon dresses in this film is still a great inspiration for me. She wears an array of glorious 1950's and 1960's dresses that are guaranteed to impress. Enjoy! :o)

PS: I don't know if anyone else cares, but I was really sad to hear that Joaquin Phoenix is quitting acting!

It's weird how all the things you write about yourself I share that in common with you! I was obsessed with Titanic when it came out. I probably saw it 4 times in the theatre. And that's a long movie.

And I love Reese Witherspoon in Walk the Line. From a cosmetologist standpoint, she had awesome hair.

My hubby refuses to see this film for unknown reasons. I'm going to HAVE to rent it in secret and spring it on him!

I just found your blog and i think I'm hooked! I love finding other ladies with short hair. I have a cut just like yours, and everytime I see it on someone new I fall in love with it all over again!

I love this movie too! I only saw it once though :P It was on TV here in Australia recently so I got to see it again yay! I thought both Reese and Joaquin were INCREDIBLE in it.

And yes it's such a shame Joaquin isn't going to act anymore, I loved him in Parenthood when he still had blonde hair.

I just saw that film on tv the other week, and it was cool – I love her dresses! (And, of course, Mr Cash).

I don't understand it myself, but I actually haven't come around to seeing this movie yet, which is quite embarrassing. I really must do that.

Thanks for the tip on winter boots. I have heard about frye boots, but I always imagined them to be quite cowboyish, and rough, but maybe I'm wrong. I'll check them out at least!

Ive never seen the film but really want to!
The fifties and sixties is my favourite decade for fashion as well, the dresses she wears in the film are great-why cant people of today dress like that?
:)
