Gatsby Wedding!

Hi Everyone!  I just found out the other day that I will be going to my cousins wedding in May. I'm super excited because he is having a Gatsby themed wedding!  So, I'm on the lookout for the perfect Gatsby dress.  I have a good idea of what I would like, but finding it will be a different story.  I'm absolutely in love with Francesca's gorgeous yellow dresses!  Also, this fantastic blue ruffle dress from the 1920's.  Unfortunately the dress is too fragile to be worn :o(
Another reason I'm super excited for this trip is because I will be stopping in New Orleans on the way!  I've always wanted to go to New Orleans and I'll be staying for two nights.  Yay!  I'm sure I will have some great pictures to share with you after this adventure!

PS: This weekend I'll have some pictures of a dress I just finished making.  I tried to make one similar to the lovely I lost on Ebay the other week.  Until next time!

Amazing! All of those dresses are so beautiful. One of my best friends is getting married in May and I've been wondering what to wear to the wedding--I would love to wear a delicate, lacy dress like one of these! Oh, and New Orleans is so wonderful. I was there for just 2 days last summer, but I loved it! Good luck on your dress hunt, and I can't wait to see how the dress you've been sewing came out!!

That's such a nice and wedding-like theme! I hope you're going to find a prfectly fitting piece to wear. As I'm planning on getting married this year, too, it's also a nice inspiration...

By the way, I received your package and have to say: everything is just too beautiful and fits perfectly! Thank you so much, dear. Pics are going to come.

Oh I just finished reading the Great Gatsby! It's an amazing book. But I've never been to a wedding and am kind of jealous ): Good luck finding a dress!

That is such a sweet wedding idea! I adored The Great Gatsby (the book, that is...I haven't gotten around to seeing the film yet.) I'm still just a student, so wedding bells won't be going off for a very long time, but in my reveries, either a 20's or 40's themed wedding would be ideal. (I'm way too indecisive at this point to choose!) Also, that dress is a dream!!
