Around the corner from our home is this great old building. I'm not quite sure what it used to be, but it's quite close to the train tracks. Maybe it was an old storage building?! Since moving down south (south from Maine anyway) I've discovered so many great rundown places to take pictures at! I guess in Maine if a place got abandoned they used everything for firewood, since it's so darn cold up there. I talk like I lived in Maine my whole life, haha! Nope, I'm a Maryland girl through and through.
I hope everyone is having a nice week so far! I'm off to watch the second disk of season 1 of Mad Men. I'm loving it!!!
Dress: Early 60s, via Etsy

Such a pretty dress! I love how when you look closer shades of green pop out of the pattern and fabric :) the details are lovely, too.
i never did make it up to maine this summer. i may take a spontaneous drive up there one of these weekends and i'll be sure to bring a sweater (or several!) along. hehe. i need a good dose of what maine can do to one's senses :)
I love the dress. And your hair looks so nice... mine's the same length, but it always looks silly when I pull it back like that. What's your secret? ;)
great color! I need some more dresses like this one.
PS: just remember long hair with bangs can be classic and not at all trendy if done right ;) I'm sure you can manage!!
oh my goodness! You look stunning in these photos! I just love the detailing on the dress, and the old dilapidated building is a wonderful backdrop for the photos!
Love the texture behind you in the photos, it was a great backdrop. The color of the dress really makes your eyes shine! Pretty!

What a lovely dress! The ruffles are so cute, and I love those hook closures down the front. So pretty! :)
Great dress! I just started watching Mad Men also. It's so good! I can't believe I waited so wrong to start it. Also, as of this summer I'm a Maryland girl as well!

Oh, yes, that place is great for taking pictures! I love go into abandoned places and guess what happened there!
You look lovely (as always, of course); I love that dress!
The toggles on that dress are such a great touch!
This dress is so beautiful in colour and shape!
I love that dress...the print and the ruffles are so pretty.
Wow! The color of the dress is great with the color of your eyes, especially on the last picture.
I have to watch that show, called Mad Men! Everyone is talking about it, and if you like it, I think I may like it too :)
Oh, that dress is absolutely perfect! That early '60s shape is my absolute favorite right now . . what a find!
And isn't it weird about there being so many abandoned buildings in the South? Up in Illinois there were abandoned farm houses in the country, but not nearly so many as down here . .
You are so stunning and that dress is gorgeous. Love the backdrop.

Oh that's a magnificent dress. I love the detailing on the placket and the color!
I'm itching to go visit the Southern areas so I can see all the abandoned buildings. No random gems of run-down buildings here. :{
Adorable dress. I love old buildings like that; chipping paint is so pretty.
You are too cute! Found your blog via dear golden recently. Love all your pictures.
I love how your dress looks like a watercolor version of plaid... it's gorgeous!
What gorgeous pictures! You look too stunning in that dress! The little frills and fabric look so lovely!
Lovely dress! Does it actually have subtle stripes of green or is that just an optical illusion :)
That's quite interesting about old houses being used for firewood in colder places! We don't have that in England cos all our houses are made of bricks. Abandoned houses are so interesting though.
this dress is fantastic. gorgeous photographs too!
You really look great, love your dress and the style of the photos!
