Inspiration Friday, Summertime the 1940's Way

All photos and their sources can be found here

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Summer is my favorite! I don't even care that it's going to be 107 degrees here in Nashville today. It's better that 7 degrees! I've also said before that in the summertime the 1940's is my biggest source for fashion inspiration. Bring on the playsuits and cute two piece sets! ;)
I hope you all have a glorious weekend! xx

Love, love, love! I just wish I knew how they kept those lovely curls in all of this humidity! I think you have the right idea with the pixie cut.

Yes yes yes! Those little midriff-baring outfits are perfect for summer - definitely an inspiration for me, too. I tried one for the first time last week and was pleased with the unexpected amount of extra air-conditioning. :)

Hi! I absolutely love this post! I was wondering, though, where do you get the awesome pictures that you post on here?

I am a complete sucker for 2 piece play suits, halter tops and shorts! In fact, I'm going to an outside show tomorrow afternoon and while reading this post I thought to myself "I'm going to wear shorts tomorrow". That thought made me happy.

So these play suits are so adorable and incredibly fun. Hmm, any chance summer 2013 you'll make short sets like theses? I love the skinny striped one. They are all pretty sweet.
