This past Wednesday July 4th Lena Hoschek debuted her S/S 2013 Collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. The theme was Mexico. I think the colors and prints are just perfectly Mexico! Not to mention the flower crowns. At first the painted faces threw me off, but then I realized how pretty they are and how perfect they were for Lena's theme. What do y'all think?
Lena will always be my modern day fashion hero. Love!
Have a glorious weekend! :)

Ahhh, I love everything day of the dead since I lived in Mexico. I think the painted faces are perfect, and the clothes are beautiful, although some look a bit more Spanish Señorita than Mexico to me!
Lena Hoschek can do no wrong! She is just too amazing for words. Thanks for posting!
You're so right. After the initial shock the faces are stunning...almost haunting, but in a good way. And the dresses...wow.
Amazing, Can I have them all?

Omg Im not familiar with this designer but now I love her to death, this collection has one me over! I love the day of the dead theme. The flower crowns are to die for and the painted faces that are supposed to be those sugar skulls is perfect in all aspects of LIFE I tell you. Thanks for posting this, I'm in love with this designer now!

these dresses are really lovely and the shirt with the bow tie... just love it! Nice find:)
This is a gorgeous collection, I love the Mexican theme! I've been following your blog for a while now and I want to thank you for making me discover Lena Hoschek (well, of course I can't afford any of her creations but it's still a pleasure to look at them!)And by the way, I really like your blog, your style and your new clothing collection!
I really like it. The faces are quite striking and work well with the prints and fabric
ya, the clothes are pretty, but the fact that she is so blatantly simplifying my culture is offensive. mexico is more then sugar skulls and flower headdresses. also this make up is meant for dia de los muertos, a spiritual and personal holiday for many people in mexico. and then i watched the video. she is obviously a racist. wearing a mustache?! might as well have dressed up as speedy gonzalez.
Nice clothes, some really pretty, it shows something of mexico, ( I am mexican) specially the make up, that is Dia de los Muertos make up and I agree with MIa (the previous comment) if she wanted to look like a mexican with that mustache better to dress like speedy gonzalez hehehe
