The War Bride

I've been watching quite a few movies lately. I've been a little under the weather so watching movies helps. Even though when I'm perfectly healthy I watch lots of movies too...haha! The other day I watched The War Bride, a film from 2001. It takes place during WWII and is about an English woman who marries a Canadian soldier. She ends up moving to Canada to live with her new soldier hubby's family. Not only is this a great movie but it stars the ADORABLE Anna Friel, otherwise know as Chuck from Pushing Daisies. There's also a lovely parade of 1940's floral dresses. I'm actually tempted to watch this again today!

I hope everyone is having a good week and maybe some of you are having some lovely spring weather! :o)

i'm totally gonna rent that movie! Anna Friel was in 'The Land Girls' too, another lovely little war time film.

That sounds interesting. I wonder was WWII was like from a Canadian perspective...

Her hair is amazing! Are those eggplant-colored pumps in the very bottom picture? To die for!

I'd love to watch that - it looks both intriguing and beautiful to watch because of the clothing. Thank you for the tip, sweetie.

Have a good weekend!

Spring is very versatile here in the south of France! But we have almond tree blooming, that's the most important thing to me!
