10 Interesting Things About Me

The other day I was tagged by the adorable Eve of Smile Because it Happened. I'm usually terrible about doing tags, but this one looked simple enough and quite fun. So, this is for all the wonderful ladies that have tagged me in the past and I never got to put the tag up on my blog. Here it goes, 10 interesting things about me! Anyway I hope they're interesting...

1. Of my 3 brothers and 1 sister I was the biggest baby, weighing in at 1o pounds! Now, I'm the smallest at only 5ft 3.

2. I was on the way to becoming an olympic swimmer. I had a knee injury when I was a teen, so I stopped competing. Though, swimming laps is still one of my favorite things to do.

3. My Grandma and her sisters sang on the radio back in the 30s and 40s. They regularly sang with Danny Thomas.

4. I was in theater and even did commercials growing up.

5. I've been antique/vintage shopping since I was 8 or 9 years old.

6. I spent a good bit of my summers in North Carolina with my Nanny and Papa.

7. I work two days a week doing activities with the elderly. Doing things like bingo, beading and shuffle board.

8. I'm lactose intolerate. Though I do enjoy the occasional ice cream...hehe.

9. My hair's the longest it's been in 6 years! It was super long when I chopped it short. I intend on growing it out to be super long again.

10. I found an old diary of mine from when I was 13 and I said, even back then, that I wished I lived in the 1940s...haha!

Their are so many of you I'd love to hear new things about, so I have no idea who to tag. If you have time and would like to do it, please do! Leave me a comment saying you've done it on your blog and I'll jump right on over to read it! Have a great day everyone!

that's neat you were on your way to becoming an olympic swimmer! my mom almost attended an elite, olympic-prep gymnastics school, but her parents decided not to let her go at the last minute ... it turned out to be a blessing though because her primary olympic run would have been the one we boycotted in the 1980's!

Love, love, love the playsuit! Its so cute. Funny you mentioning your height because as I was fiddling with those photos last night I noticed that the top of it hits me (5'6") a bit higher than it does on you... I figured you had to around 5'3" ;)

PS: SO cool that your family sang with Danny Thomas!

That is so awesome that you were such a good swimmer! I used to be decent at swimming but I hated it b/c I would get so cold in the water.
