Priscilla Lane and a Smile Award

I first saw Priscilla Lane in Arsenic and Old Lace, staring along side Cary Grant. I thought she was just adorable! Then I discovered she and her two sisters were a popular singing act. A few weeks ago I had TCM on in the back round, like I do most days, and I heard that sweet little voice. The movie was Million Dollar Baby. Million Dollar Baby was so much fun and Priscilla was so darn enchanting that Jonny even sat down and watched the entire film with me! About a week later I watched Dust Be My Destiny, also staring John Garfield. Another thoroughly entertaining film, if you ask me! After reading a bit about Priscilla I discovered she really wasn't know for much other then playing the girlfriend or somebody's daughter. She retired in 1948 after making 22 films. All of which I hope to see someday!

Also, I received a smile award from the sweeter then sweet Maria of Lulu Letty! I just discovered her blog a couple weeks ago and it's definitely one of my favorite reads. She gave me this award alongside Meaghan of Left Hand Endeavor. She had no idea Meaghan and I had met and are great friends! So, that's pretty neat! Thanks so much Maria!

The rules are:
1. You have to post a song that makes you happy.
2. You can tag as many people as you want, there's no limit.
3. Say at least one thing about each bog you tag, that will make them smile, something nice about their blog that makes you smile when you read it!

Instead of picking an Elvis song, because all of his songs make me smile, I'm going to pick another song that never fails to make me smile or sing along to for that matter! Fly Me to the Moon, sung by Frank Sinatra.

First I would like to pass this award along to Cynthia of Tapouillon! This girl sure knows how to put an adorable outfit together and her pictures are always so darn cute! She also has an etsy store that's to die for. Next I would like to give this award to Saorise of Spider, Spin Me a Story! Every time Saorise puts up a new post I know it's going to be magical. Her pictures are dreamlike and her outfits are so sweet! Thanks girls for always putting a smile on my face! :o)

Priscilla really is adorable! What I wouldn't give to be able to play TMC in the background all day! Damn you cable company; when will you fufill your promise of rural service, WHEN?! Congratulations on the award, it is much deserved.

Priscilla Lane really reminds me of Ginger Rogers...I have no idea why. Maybe because she kind of sounds like her when she talks. Anyway, you should see Saboteur, with her and Robert Cummings. I love that movie! Plus it's a Hitchcock film (not to be confused with Sabotage).

Ooh...Can you believe I've still never seen Arsenic and Old Lace! It's in my mom's fantastic collection of classic DVD's. Perhaps I need to snatch it up!

Hello,

I would love to add your Priscilla Lane montage to my Yahoo Group for her, if that's OK with you. :)

I've seen Arsenic and Old Lace, but quite a bit ago. Priscilla is really pretty, I barely knew anything about her. I didn't know she was any so many other movies. I really want to see Million Dollar Baby now.
